SAFE, NURTURING & FUN

Camp COAST (Children on the Autism Spectrum Together) is a summer day camp specifically for children with autism and developmental disabilities that allow them to feel comfortable in a safe, fun and nurturing environment. Camp COAST is designed to meet the needs of children between the ages of 5-10 (Camp COAST JR) and 11-16 (Camp COAST Middle) who are considered high functioning on the autism spectrum.

Camp COAST has a maximum of 20 children in camp each week. Each camper will have a teen intern assigned to him/her (ages 5-10). The teen intern supports the Camp COAST child in their daily activities and accompanies them on field trips. Daily activities include, but are not limited to: swimming, sensory games and various events designed for children on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities.

The camp attends weekly field trips to places all around the Tampa Bay area. A Pinellas County school bus will be used to transport all children to and from any activities that occur off YMCA property.

Camp COAST is ONLY available at the Clearwater Branch YMCA.
