Lifeguard Training is May 20
To be a YMCA lifeguard requires desire, a high degree of judgement, skill and fitness. Lifeguard training assists our staff to perform quickly and safely in emergency situations. At the Y, we annually provide lifeguard training to build confidence in our team. We want them to be "whistle worthy" while responding to an incident and to prevent accidents. This year our pools will close Saturday afternoon, May 20, for training.
The YMCA of the Suncoast takes aquatic safety seriously. The participation in our annual safety training is above and beyond their regularly scheduled training. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to make our pools a safe environment for our members.
Here's our locations and times the pool will be closed. All will reopen on Sunday, May 21, during normal operating hours.
Citrus 3:30 p.m.
